Eco-Impressions Collective

Eco-Impressions Collective, established in 2020, is a group of 15 artists (8 women and 7 men) dedicated to raising environmental awareness through art. Based in Singapore, the members of this collective come from various Southeast Asian countries, with ages ranging from 25 to 60, and share a goal of showcasing the urgency of environmental issues through beautiful artworks that reflect the unique ecosystems of the region.The collective's creative features:

  • Using eco-friendly materials and sustainable creation methods, often incorporating traditional Asian art techniques and locally sourced natural materials
  • Applying impressionist techniques to depict landscapes affected by climate change, focusing on Southeast Asian rainforests, coral reefs, and urban environments
  • Creating "before and after" series to show the impact of environmental changes on iconic Asian locations, such as the Mekong Delta or Borneo's rainforests
  • Organizing participatory art projects, inviting the public to co-create works on environmental themes relevant to Asia, such as plastic pollution in the South China Sea or deforestation in Indonesia

Their work is not only exhibited in art galleries across Singapore, but also frequently appears at environmental conferences and educational institutions throughout Asia and the Pacific region. The collective collaborates with various Asian environmental organizations, donating part of their proceeds to support local conservation efforts.Eco-Impressions Collective has a strong social media presence, using their platform to educate about environmental issues specific to Asia. They often incorporate elements of Asian culture and philosophy in their approach to environmental art, blending traditional wisdom with modern ecological concerns.The group has gained recognition for their unique perspective on environmental issues in Asia, and their work has been featured in exhibitions in major cities like Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, and Mumbai. They also conduct workshops in rural areas across Southeast Asia, engaging local communities in environmental art projects and raising awareness about regional ecological challenges.
